Continental Airlines Senior Manager - Technology in Houston, TX:   (Current Employee)

Pros

There is a culture of comraderie in my department, and in other departments where I have worked an interact. I enjoy a lot of autonomy in my particular position, where I am given free reign to think outside the box and then allowed to follow through with my ideas.

Cons

I am grossly underpaid for the quality of work I produce, and for the emense responsibility I am given. I supervise staff and manage a sizeable budget as well as manage my department. I expect to be paid considerably more.

Advice to Senior Management

The travel benefit has little or no value to me anymore. It lacks the luster it once had, and the ability to travel is greatly restricted now. It should no longer be considered a perk as part of the compensation package.

You manage others and a budget, but you can't spell "camaraderie," "immense," "sizable" or "perq" correctly. I would reconsider whether you're "grossly underpaid."
