Continental Airlines – “Fantastic place to work if you like a challenge, but will accept lower compensation to work with like-minded people.”

Pros

Flight benefits make it worth the while! Additionally, the management team is open and communicative much unlike other places I've worked. Larry gives a voicemail message every Friday (even in the midst of Hurricane Ike!) and does a good job of staying in touch with his employees. I feel appreciated working here.

Cons

Lower compensation and dealing with the issues of a difficult (yet dynamic!) industry. I'm sure getting through the bad times will make it worthwhile, but working in an industry that has to deal with layoffs is always going to be tough.

Advice to Senior Management

No first bag fee! Let's try to be more innovative and distinguish ourselves from all the old & lagging behind carriers. I love Continental Airlines but I'm not sure if a regular customer could tell you what distinguishes our Coach Class service from other airlines. BusinessFirst is phenomenal, though!
