I worked at Continental Carbonic full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Huge opportunities for those that are focused on Safety and have extreme commitment to the company. Educational background is not as important as most companies. Several plant managers and most other managers in the plants have no college experience and worked up from entry level hourly roles. Safety has become the core value of the company over the past few years and with the Matheson purchase of Continental, they have stepped up the investment in training and technology in Safety. The company will also accelerate growth with both organically and inorganically as a result of the acquisition. They have an almost radical approach to making sure customers are happy, which I'm confident is best in the industry.

    Cons

Hours are long, but again, very rewarding for those that are committed. Medical benefits are more expensive than most companies, but have improved since the Matheson purchase.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't let up on Safety, it is the key to the future of the company.
