I have been working at Convergence Marketing

Pros

Convergence Marketing offers decent wages, some benefits, and even mileage (sort of)
You are given the opportunity to accept the assignments that you feel fit you best.
You are an actual employee, not contract help.

Cons

If you get a poor area manager, you will have to deal with that in order to get assignments.
Often times, personality conflicts or favoritism can affect the amount of work you receive.
On occasion you will be asked to work outside of your area, and promised mileage reimbursement which you may or may not actually receive (again, goes back to whether or not you have a good area manager)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

District managers should be required to communicate with each of their employees on a regular basis, even if it is as simple as replying to an email inquiry.
Raises should be based on accomplishment, not favoritism.

I have been working at Convergence Marketing

    Pros

Flex schedule, good projects, decent pay rate (before changes)

    Cons

Lack of work , payroll department is a mess. Pay rate have to be base on the worker's knowladge and not on the FLAT RATE for all merchandisers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees equally and not base on their gender. Fix PAY ROLL Department.

I have been working at Convergence Marketing

    Pros

    Flexible scheduling
    Some limited benefits
Chance for leadership on special projects

However be very careful, you could go through training for leadership on projects and have the project pulled right from under you while they place you into another site as a team member for no fault of your own. Could be that the project mangers did not do a good job of hiring the proper team members for you to lead. As a team leader, you will not have the opportunity to hire your own team members.

    Cons

    Promotion is very limited
Work can end as fast as you are assigned on a project
There could be times when months go by that you have no work

Be prepared for times when you will have to have a second job that keeps you busy. Also, your benefits are determined on the number of hours you work. No assignment is long lasting and normally only runs for a few months. Summer months seem to be better than winter months.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Open the door for a chance to move up in the company. Rather than hiring outside the company, look for talent within the company. I'm sure that there are more than enough people that company really should have no need to look outside except for position which require advance degrees. Even still, there some who do have advanced degrees and would love to move up within the company.
