Professionalism should not only be in the office but on the buses as well.

I have been working at Cook-Illinois Corp.

    Pros

Farily easy to get a job at this place, if you can't find work elsewhere. This is also a good job to have as a second job being that you will start out with only part time hours.

    Cons

Very unorganized, lowest payrate in the area, low hours in this field also unless you have a lot of years in senoirity. A lot of old busses also. Your worktime is split up into working in the morning and coming back in the afternoon due to you picking up students for school and taking them back home in the eveing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to overhaul the hiring system and eliminate or at least computerize a lot of the paperwork needed in order to be a bus driver. Invest in newer vehicles so we they are not spending more time in the shops. Use smaller vehicles when picking up fewer students to save on gas cost. It soesn't make much sense to pick up five kids in a twenty five foot bus, when a small commercial van can achieve the smae results getting 20 miles per gallon.
