I have been working at CorVel full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

Very strong IT culture. Management supports use of advanced technologies. Normal working hours, good life-work balance, job security. Company has solid fundamentals, strong growth, no debt. It's a place to be until you retire.

Cons

Despite being a healthcare management company, healthcare benefits are terrible. HR new policies cut casual Fridays, no plants on your desk (!!!). Stagnant career: you get promoted when your manager quits or gets hit by a bus.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have lost valuable people with quasi-fascist HR policies.

    I worked at CorVel

    Pros

Corvel is located in Downtown Fort Worth in the Barnett Plaza. Most of the employee are young people excited to have a job.

    Cons

The pay at Corvel is very low, and the benefits are almost non existent. Corvel pays its employees bi-monthly instead of every two weeks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company should have an individual development plan for all employees because some of the workers, like I was, who are degree professionals underemployed.
