I worked at Corbett Accel

Pros

If your brand was slow, you had a good work life balance.

HR tried to compensate you with great health benefits, and other minor monetary incentives if you went above and beyond your work or every birthday etc.

When more people worked there, there were happy hours.

Cons

If your brand was busy, you could stay until midnight and work weekends.

Very clicky since it was small. There were a few people that were condescending that sent a negative vibe to the company.

The way you jump up the ladder is just brown nosing management and working really late hours.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not just listen to those who are brownnosing.

Accept and listen to feedback, and understand that a change is needed if 20 people leave each month at such a small Agency.

Worst work experience of my life.

    Pros

    Great Benefits and holiday schedule
The junior staff members are a pretty nice group of people
    Free soda and bagel Fridays

    Cons

People are rewarded for for the wrong reasons. I personally saw experienced being thrown under the bus by an immature and overly promoted senior manager. It was generally awful to be put in this position for someone else's gain. The worst part of this was the fact that this manager was all smiles and loved by the president of the company. I only wish they could see how vicious and terrible it made the lives of the junior staff. I can count 6 people that left the company due to this treatment, including myself.

The company also severely lacks creative genius, status quo is the norm. One copywriter was given an internal award, but has absolutely no talent- I had to rewrite several ideas because he was so dense.

Overly process heavy, burns through budgets and client hours

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote people who deserve it, not manipulate their way to the top due to fortuitous circumstances. Open your eyes to the fact that people pat each other on the backs at the top too much and don't recognize the little people.
