I have been working at Core-Mark full-time

Pros

Because of the demands they put on their Sales force you will develope into a really good Salesperson.
Allot of programs to sell.
They are growing by allot since they are buying up other Wholesalers.
Not bad the pricing for customers.

Cons

Stress, stress, stress and more stress as a Salesperson
Management never wants to know the reasons something cannot or shouldn't be done. Management doesn't use common sense. It's all about the bottom line.
Always trying to take advantage of the customer.

    Pros

    Really are no pros with this company, the only thing good that comes to mind about this place is getting to quit it.

    Cons

    back breaking work with no appreciation from management, will over work you,they do not care about rules and regulations set forth to protect employees.Drivers are told to work longer than the allowed amount of time set forth in DOT rules,they simply don't care about you.Avoid this place like the plaque.Ever wonder why they are always hiring????

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    your employees are the base in your company,when you spit in the face of your employees you are weaking the base of your company and will never have a good solid foundation for which a good,successful company has.Get back to basics ,and get your heads out of your asses.

    Pros

    Very nice people work there.

    They have allot of programs and products to sell their customers compared to the competitors.

    Cons

    For the Sales team in Pennsylvania it's always stressful everyday of the week.

    The PA division is set up where the Outside Sales team gets little support from the operational depts.

    They are trying to tell the customer what is good for them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    To the President and Sales Manager in Pennsylvania is:

    There is more than one way to get results. You do get results but it is the wrong way. Your way puts an unbelievable amount of stress on your Sales team and their lives. You could increase your yearly sales if you just would listen to your Sales team. 2 years ago you had a great group of guys selling for you. Allot of those guys left. Why?
