Pros

Initially my campus was doing great and the perks were amazing. Great environment to work in and tons of fun.

Cons

Our campus was shut down due to our president, who skipped town, was lying about job placement numbers. Everyone in admissions was laid off because of management's lies and greed

I worked at Corinthian Colleges full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of fun individuals to work with. A lot of dynamic personalities and backgrounds can be influential to one who is starting out in a corporate environment. When you communicate with students who are genuinely working hard towards earning a degree, it can make the job fulfilling.

    Cons

Bad senior management on the corporate level. It's all about profit building, but without consideration for the interests of the students signing up to earn a degree. There is a lot of analysis on how the business could be run better, yet the practices very rarely change and it leads to much attrition among the student population and an overall decline in the profits that the company prioritizes over everything. Yes, companies are supposed to make profits, however, practices that rush unprepared and/or unqualified students into an expensive degree program produces bad experiences and negative reviews. This leads to dissatisfaction among student-facing employees. In addition, the staff at Corinthian Colleges are rather underpaid considering the profit levels the company has experienced.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change the admissions policies. Really take the time to evaluate the experiences among the students that keep the business running. If many of the "lock them in" practices for admitting new students do not change, the company will sink as the students will look elsewhere for a quality education. There has to be ultimate consideration for how the integrity of the product and the support for the product will make a difference for the students recruited. Plus, the employees that are keeping the business running should be taken a lot more seriously regarding their insight on how the business practices could be improved. They need to be treated as the intelligent individuals that they are.
