I have been working at Cornell University full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Very good benefit package. Stable position. Very good university that offers free courses to employees.

Cons

Low salaries for staff positions and limited opportunities to grow. It is tooo hard to move up. You keep doing the same things forever.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to staff. They are as important as faculty

    The station is currently undergoing many administrative changes but so far everything is running smoothly.
    Located in a small town
    High property taxes nearby

    Exposure to many departments. You will gain an understanding of how a university runs

    Projects given had very vague guidelines. Difficult to reach out to others.
