    I worked at Cornell University

    Pros

If you're a student there are ample opportunities to find fairly well paying jobs with an incredible amount of flexibility.

    Cons

Sometimes difficult to manage school work with actual employment. More of an issue for students from low income households though.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More resources to actual full-time employees. Also give more ways to subsidize pay for students. Many offices won't hire students unless they are Work Study

I have been working at Cornell University

    Pros

Great benefits. Is respectful of employees, provides professional development opportunities. Lots of smart people.

    Cons

Since it's a huge organization, it's a bit rigidly bureaucratic in terms of HR, purchasing policies, opportunities for advancement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't go too far trying to standardize processes to save money. Sometimes the restrictions seem very inefficient.
