Cornerstone Research – “Great people, boring and limited work”

Pros

The people are really smart and very helpful. They are the best resource. When you don't know something, you can just call someone up who will explain it to you. A great and supportive environment. The support staff is great and quick to respond to requests. The people are nice and the working environment is very positive.

Cons

The work is so niche that it does not help with career development unless one wants to go specifically into research or come back to this type of economic consulting. There is very little exposure to the end client. You analyze what has already happened, so this is not the place to develop business intuition (as opposed to general management and strategy consulting). As an analyst, you come out of Cornerstone with no real management skills.

Advice to Senior Management

Work faster in meetings. Usually the meetings drag on for way too long.
