Corning – “Loved working there”

Pros

It's a great place to work. Innovation based company. Lots of training opportunities. Some plants are union based, but nothing intolerable. Moved to a new position within an year with a hike in salary. Career development is good.

Cons

Somewhat Bureaucratic, but okey. Layoffs since 2008, so I am not sure how it is now. Again union environment is somewhat uncomfortable, because you cannot even hand a frame without a grievance.

Advice to Senior Management

Share the information with your employees and trust them. Focus more on goals and managers have to be more hands on.
