Pros

Small town environment and culture. Everybody knows everybody. Easy commuting.

Cons

people at the research community are very conservative. it is not a good place to work for a highly motivated scientist. Some of the middle-lower level managers are extra cost for the company. They don't have "actual" value other than compile "hands-on scientists" research data and forward to upper level managers.

Advice to Senior Management

Should encourage and reward those highly motivated individuals. Otherwise, the company will lose talents to other competitors.
