Corporate Synergies – “Almost there”

Pros

Senior Management is now taking the employees seriously where the former CEO could have cared less. This has create better dialogue and and actual air of openness. Monetary compensation is the best I've seen which helps even out the times when you are pulling your hair out from the lack of decisiveness that permeates throughout the company. The technology has really come around over the past couple of years which has helped people stay connected and be more productive.

Cons

True decision making is often lacking. Getting some management to respond to even routine requests is back breaking. The culture is more about getting the most quantity out of you at the expense of quality. The benefits offered to it's own employees are embarrassing, especially when you work at an insurance broker.

Advice to Senior Management

Listen to the employees that are doing the work. Management group meetings are fine, and much better than the former CEO situation, but there is still an obvious top down disconnect that can be overwhelming at time. Input from employees on the decisions that directly impact them or their daily work really should be more open and reinforced positively.
