I have been working at Corrections Corporation of America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It's a job until I find another one and I hope it's soon.

    Cons

Low pay for the amount of work one has to do.Supervisor up the Warden are never happy and always want more.
If they spent as much time kissing the inmates backsides and saying thanks to employees the turn over would not be so high and pay better.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to start saying "Thanks for staying over ."Thanks for your hard work, what can I do to make your job better." Or just walk up to random employees and say Thanks.

It's not rocket science why C.C.A. has 75% turnover on employees.Low pay and lack of appreciation.

I have been working at Corrections Corporation of America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

good teamwork, decent pay, new challenges every day, you do not have to have a degree to work here, good benefits

    Cons

lack of communication, very hard to promote, the company would rather hire outsiders than do internal promotions, you have to wear a uniform, you always have to remember that you may not go home the same way you went in or at all, a lot of favoritism

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

COMMUNICATE!!!! let people who want to promote have the chance before hiring outsiders, give pay raises and bonuses for performance, discipline those who need it, forget the favoritism
