    Pros

The location is in downtown Toronto, in a community with similar values. The work environment is very casual, such that employees are allowed to wear jeans to work (as long as the overall look is somewhat professional). Corus is a leader in promoting the environment; they are having a new facility built in accordance to LEED environmental standards. There are some perks that they started recently, such as summer hours.

    Cons

Salaries are below industry standards for a media company. In terms of opportunity, it is fairly low for career advancement. The health benefits are below industry standards. But especially, they do not invest in their employees. There is no emphasis in learning more as they do not offer courses, which is fairly standard for the industry.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in your employees and provide them with reasons to stay.

  2. Good working atmosphere, compared to many corporations.

    Pros

Great work environment. Casual and great people are typically your co-workers.

    Cons

Senior officers have trouble navigating the company in a world where semi-monopolies that Rogers and Bell have all the money and influence.

    Advice to Management

Shaw media family need to make a big decision, merge with Corus or sell everything.
