Pay was decent, but work experance and environment reflected a typical retailer.

I worked at Costco Wholesale full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Compensates very well for the work performed

Cons

Does not value education or work environment, instead opting to cut corners in the name of efficiency and numbers like labor/productivity, members per hour, average basket, and member upgrades.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company culture starts at the top and works its way down. For blatent disregard of training and osha standards as well as employment laws to be as rampant as it is in the warehouse level as it is, it can only reflect a blind eye from upper managment. Any building operating above $1100/ hour labor needs to be suspect, let along productivity figures at 15-1700/hr.

I have been working at Costco Wholesale full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great medical and dental benefits. Upward mobility if you are willing to relocate. Pay is great especially for retail.

    Cons

Hours and days vary a lot which can be hard for some people. Also to start you usually have to start out as part time which makes it difficult to make it a lifetime commitment.

I have been working at Costco Wholesale part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great company to get into and work your way up. If you can work hard, grow and cross train as well as build connections with management you can earn great money and move up fairly quickly. If you dont have a career set and you want to work your way up in the company , you can easily transfer to other locations around the united states or work your way into corporate costco.

    Cons

There are sometimes alot of micromanaging depending on what department you work in. There is also a fact of seniority and alot of people with seniority usually dont work as hard, and try to boss you around.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to the micromanagers and supervisors who aren't applying themselves and/or abusing the system to there own benefit. Sitting in the office and playing around on the computer or there cell phones when they should be proactively cleaning, training or cutting pay roll.
