They have great pay and benefits, well above the industry average. Often times the environment is family-like, but this is not always the case.

Cons

Each location is different when you look at the work environment. It all depends on the personalities of the upper management. If you want to work normal times on a set schedule and have weekends off, then a career at Costco is not the right path. I've seen managers work up to 12 hours per day.

Advice to Senior Management

Take some courses on leadership skills, and try to care about taking care of your employees mentally and physically. They are not just "bodies." Never forget the importance of maintaining a balance between constructive criticism and praise. Praise can do wonders to a person.
