Costco Wholesale – “Costco is a Great Employer”

Pros

- Amazing Benefits
- Great growth opportunities
- Great Knowledge to be tapped by the employees who have been a part of the Company for 15+ years
- Great comradery among fellow employees
- "if you hire good people and provide good wages and good jobs then good things will happen to your company." Jim Sinegal----- I see that ring true more here than any other job I've had.
-At other Jobs I couldn't stand to be around about 1 in 5 people... At Costco it's more like 1 in 30
- I haven't ever had problems getting time off except on obvious days (Black Friday, Christmas eve, Inventory night, etc... everyone works those days)
- The Members are in a great mood about 95% when shopping at Costco. The other 5% give you a good reason to be Grateful for the other 95%

Cons

- Pay raises are not based on how you do but how many hours you work.
- Not enough full time opportunities.... Although I've only been with the Company for about a year... I need to be patient. :~)

Advice to Senior Management

- Remember the times when you were just an hourly employee.
- whse 633 Helena, MT has amazing Managers... excepting 1 or 2, which is a tolerable amount.
- Hang up the Cell Phone! Everyone knows Fishing isn't "Work Related." COME ON! :~)
