I worked at Courier Express part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Allowed me to spend more time at home with my children

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Rate of pay could have been higher and company should allow for smaller vehicles to be driven

I have been working at Courier Express full-time

    Pros

Facilities are decent and fairly good use of technology available to the industry.

    Cons

During the hiring process candidates are never informed that they will end up on call 7 days a week, 24 hrs a day and that their job will include them performing functions they would never have agreed to. As a result, employees have very little down time and cannot make plans with friends or family because if you get called out and you are not available you run the risk of being fired.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior Management cannot continue to turn a blind eye the behavior and attitude of its mid-level and junior managers. Because a company has access to a large pool of potential employees is no reason to treat some current employees as disposable. Operating costs will continue to rise if the company is always hiring and training new employees when the alternative can be as simple as a change in management strategy.....
