I worked at Covenant HealthCare full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Paid time off
    Benefit package
Cash bank payout for unused PTO hours
    Flexible scheduling

    Cons

    Terrible politics
    Horrible management in most departments/units
    High level of burnout
    10:1 patient/nurse ratio's are common
Under paid in all areas compared to other area hospitals
High employee turnover in all departments

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees when they come to you with concerns. Management seems to brush issues "under the rug" and ignore the facts. The hospital puts patient satisfaction and safety on the back burner. Management, directors, and HR is more concerned with promoting numbers and statistics to the public than listening to burned out employees
