Pros

Great employees. Great product. Great location.

Cons

Too many VPs and Directors. The former upper level management decision making practically ruined this company. Now, the new CEO is making drastic decisions that appear to be to satisfy the stockholders. The employee morale is very low. He has laid off nearly 80 employees. The remaining employees are scared they will lose their jobs. The CEO is planning to move the company from a growing downtown to cut costs. No one appears to care about the employees, now. The way things are going and the moves the CEO is making I would be surprised if this company was still around in a year.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Purge some of upper level management. Start caring more about the employees.

I have been working at Covisint

    Pros

Overall the compensation package is really good. Lots to learn, if motivated, although the technology is a little dated. The building is wonderful, with Campus Martius just across the street. The gym, day care, laundry, shoe shine, cafeteria are on site which is nice given the hours you will work.

    Cons

Bully management makes your job extremely challenging. Expect to work late nights and a lot of weekends. You will have big goals with little support and little respect from management. Don't forget about Detroit city taxes. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you really need a job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the hero culture and invest in your employees. Work to build a culture of team players that work together.

I have been working at Covisint full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The cafeteria has good food. The gym is clean and functional. The building overall is clean. The equipment is somewhat ok.

    Cons

Highly dysfunctional leadership. The mentality at Covisint is for middle and senior management to throw everyone under the bus, and then expect those same people to work 24x7. In fact, it's the whole Compuware/Covisint persona that is so passive aggressive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove all of your IT and GDO management, and start over.
