I have been working at Cox Communications

    Pros

    free cable
    good benefits
good PTO [when you are allowed to take it]

    Cons

This is a high pressure sales job. The goals are increased almost every month, the pay has gone down several times, and the customers are mostly angry, very angry! The equipment is mostly old. The departments do not communicate. This leads to more angry customers!
At the end of the day I'm completely exhausted! [mentally. emotionally, and physically] My overall quality of life has been diminished due to this crappy job.
Several new employees have said it best 'I can't believe what I'm expected to know, do and put up with for such a small amount of money!" Everyone I know in retail is looking for another job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They should work under cover in a store. Actually they should all be required to complete the training, work in a store and make the ridiculous goals; before being given a job in management. Because, when they visit a store everyone tells them exactly what they want to hear. They have no idea how completely unrealistic what they ask us to do really is.
