I have been working at Cox Communications full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Used to really love the people I worked with
If you know the right people, you will have great opportunities to learn + branch out

Cons

Too many contractors taking over previous full time employee jobs
Many people being let go or quitting who were a real asset to Cox
It is frustrating to see new people being brought in who don't know anything about what they're supposed to do and aren't willing to learn.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The people who have been here for 15+ years and really know their stuff are the people we should keep, not let go.

    Pros

    Used to be a great company and wonderful pay, but since we've gone corporate, it's all about the $1 .. long term employees are hard to find their any more

    Cons

    Sales Reps & Supervisors only care about themselves ... HORRIBLE PROCESSES IN PLACE ... one department never knows what the other is doing

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Quit trying to make yourself look better by belittleing the other supervisors ....No one likes your fake smiles, just keep it real.

    I worked at Cox Communications full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Lots of vacation time give raises every 6 months.

    Cons

    Micro-managed all the time. Company does not give you enough time to fix the problem at customers home which causes repeats on the technician. Very little room for advancement.
