    Pros

    Pay is great
    Opportunities for advancement
    No experience required
    Flexible work schedule
    Very little supervision

    Cons

    Standing all day (8-9 hours) at wal-marts/ best buys
    Management is slow to deal with issues
    Promotions become increasingly hard to sell
    Lots of customer complaints
    The best selling employees often lie about promotional periods and pricing, management ignores this only caring about numbers and they are rewarded and made positive example of

    I worked at Cox Communications full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - company is active in the community
    - strong brand
    - good benefits including medical, dental, 401k, discounts on services
    - not many jobs in most cities and this company is hiring

    Cons

    Zero support from management, service delivery, or construction. There is a strong anti-sales culture at Cox Business, you will struggle with every department to get your customer's service installed. No one is doing their job or cares about the customer and only sales is held accountable. I had so many errors on my orders from every single direction and I had to constantly clean up other departments mistakes. Management is aware of these issues but they are too incompetent and impotent to actually fix things.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Support your sales reps, give them the tools to succeed. Do not offer to take over issues or improve processes and then fail to deliver on your promises. Find out why other departments are failing and open your eyes to how it impacts sales.
