Coyote Logistics – “This truly is a great place to work”

Pros

We were named the best place to work in Chicago, and for good reason. The culture here is special. There are no cubicles, everybody sits out on the floor and feeds off each other's energy. Our CEO even sits out on the floor just like everyone else. The friendships and relationships you build here are also real, there aren't any "forced" happy hours or gatherings like you get at most other places. People here genuinely enjoy one another and even though it gets competitive, everybody looks out for everybody and you can feel confident that your co-workers will have your back if there is a problem.

Coyote has become a major player in the industry. We are the fastest growing logistics company in the country and the growth continues to accelerate as more and more big time customers are beginning to trust us with their freight. We have only been around for about five and a half years and we will be a billion dollar company next year (that is much, much faster than the other industry giants reached the billion dollar mark).

Cons

Depending on the time of year, workload can be a little slow. Also depending on the time of year, workload can be a little stressful.

Advice to Senior Management

Our management team has some of the smartest people around, in terms of both software and business. Many of them hold advanced degrees from places like MIT, U of Chicago, Michigan, etc. The future holds nothing but positive things with our executive team leading the charge.

They are also egoless and some of the most approachable people you'll meet. You'll see Jeff Silver (Founder and CEO) talking college football with guys who have only been employees for a couple of weeks. They are all genuinely good people. Keep up the good work!
