I worked at Crabtree & Evelyn part-time (less than an year)

Pros

Flexible with scheduling, relaxed and friendly environment, Limited stocking/cleaning duties because it's a small store

Cons

Cash register system can be faulty, demanding and impatient higher management (district managers, etc.), Clientele can be tough to please

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember that you're selling bath products. We're doing the best we can and trying to make vapid products look like necessities, but repackaging products and selling them for a higher price annoys customers and there really isn't anything we can do to change that.

    The only positive aspects about working for this company was sharing experiences with the clients.

    Cons

    Incredibly undercompensated despite the high price points. Low-quality corporate employees is leading to low quality in-store staff.

    Listen to the individuals in your retail stores, they experience the customers on a daily basis and have amazing ideas to improve sales, products and merchandising.
