    I worked at Cracker Barrel

    Pros

I did make some very good friends while working there.

    Cons

90% of them time, they would not let you take a break. Even if you worked a full shift, you had to stand there and smile and smell all the food. You are treated like a criminal, and have to get searched at the end of every shift. They claim that they're flexible with your schedule, but that's not true. Management takes advantage of their title.

I worked at Cracker Barrel full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

solid financial company and over 42 years in the industry

    Cons

company is money hungry and starves its people of "dignity and respect". CBOCS is an old boys club that steps all over its mgmt and hourly employees. Do not sell your family and quality of life out for their compensation package. You will work 6 day weeks (and not get them paid back) you are not allowed to cash in vacations, but, you rarely get to take the ones you have earned.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You will make even MORE money, if you treat your employees right. Raise freezes, cutting out employee perks, and $500 budget for Christmas party? Really? That's less than a $3 thank you per person that attends. Stop the greed
