If you want to study a postgraduate qualification in engineering, Cranfield is the place

Current Employee – been working at Cranfield University

ProsCranfield University is one the best places to study a postgraduate (MSc/PhD) degree in engineering , in the UK. The links with industry are great. Forgot the average joe on the street, who probably thinks Cranfield is some backwater former polytechnic (just because they haven't heard of it), and concentrate on what the people in industry think. And they rank Cranfield up with the best of them. They have a very strong Aerospace/Aeronautics devision, and even there own airport!

ConsThe only downside to Cranfield Univeristy is that it's based in the countryside, 10 miles away from the closet city (Milton Keynes). The public transport out of Cranfield isn't very good, as it is limited to 4-6 buses a day. The student accommodation on campus is fairly expensive too. If you are thinking of attending Cranfield Uni, get a car.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe leadership at Cranfield University is like it is at most other universities. The Vice-Chancellor is rarely seen. You spend more time bumping into your supervisor who don't really want to see, because he/she will ask you about work. In a nutshell, it's bog standard.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
