    Pros

    1. Internal mobility is somewhat good.
    2. Most colleagues are nice compared to other banks I've worked at
    3. Salary is somewhat competitive
    4. Work/Life balance is not bad

    Cons

    1. Way too many project managers that do not add any value. Not enough business analysts nor developers.
    2. It doesn't matter how much you work your butt off, salary increases, bonuses and promotions are very arbitrary. If you are coming in make sure you get your title with the initial offer, otherwise it is very difficult to get promoted. Titles matter in this company.
    3. Keep in mind this is not a technology company, so you will be working with the latest technologies here.
    4. They are moving all development to India, so eventually the NY office will only be PMs and BEs. and if....

    Advice to Management

Start rewarding people for the quality of the job they do and not based on favoritism and sucking up. It is understandable that the current climate is not very stable, but there have been about 10 reorgs in the last 3 yrs working here, get the department somewhat stable.

Once a great place to work at, but cost cutting efforts are leaving employees over worked and underpaid

    Pros

Compared to other investment banks, I find CS to be more supportive of diverse culture and working parents.

    Cons

The cost cutting efforts are leaving employees with few resources to succeed and overburdened with work. I see many people burnt out and tired at work.

    Advice to Management

Streamline at the top, there are too many "cooks" in the kitchen and not enough people doing the actual work.
