Pros

Still has some good 'old school' high calibre people, still very strong/top tier in specific areas of IBD and capital markets. Still offers good exit opps.

Cons

Best people are rapidly leaving the firm, no longer as good as it was in a number of areas, is falling down the ranks. Swiss regulatory issues don't help either.

Advice to Management

Seems like there is too much change in strategy at too high a frequency.

    Pros

The people are nice and mostly capable at what they are doing. Good work culture where almost everyone is helpful and willing to assist you even though it's outside their formal responsibility.

    Cons

Cost-cutting and outsourcing measures being implemented everywhere, often by not taking into account the effect of such measures on surrounding business units / departments / systems. As a result there's a lot of human capital loss and performance degradation.

    Advice to Management

Be more careful in cutting costs / outsourcing business units. Although the target numbers are achieved there may be repercussions in the future.

  2. Experience I will cherish

    Pros

Good Technology, great people , good learning opportunities throughout your career in CS. Learning is always encouraged. Good appraisal system.

    Cons

Overall Salary package could be better. Although it reflects the current market scenario so not sure how others were paying in those days.
