I have been working at Crescent Hotels & Resorts full-time for more than a year

Pros

Some of the people are okay

Cons

Only interested in the bottom line (i.e. spend as little money as possible)
Terrible pay
Lied to staff when they took over. They told us nothing would change, and they promptly fired the Rooms Division Manager, F & B Manager, and HR Director because they were being paid too much.
They complain when the lowest paid staff members get an extra hour of overtime.

Be honest when you say nothing will change

    I worked at Crescent Hotels & Resorts full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    The company was great to work for, concerned about individuals future careers. The corporate involvement was supportive but not a dictatorship. There was good communications and while expectations for success were high, the goals were achievable. The training that was offered for career development was outstanding.

    Cons

    As a management company they may not be employed by owners longer term. Being able to stay with the company would have have been my choice but there weren't opportunities that made relocation available.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Allow for more career growth through benefits allowing relocation.
