Pros

-Paid Time Off
-Empowerment
-Compensation is competitive with other hospitality management companies

Cons

-Lack of Career Development plans.
-Opportunities for Advancement are scarce (possibly due to the lack of locations).
-Company seems to lack the prospect of increasing the number owned and managed hotels.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase number of managed hotels. Set more clearly defined career development plans for all employees. Do a better job of keeping employees informed as to how the company plans to grow in the future.

I have been working at Crestline Hotels & Resorts

    Pros

    1. Growth within organization
    2. Great people to work with
    3. Pay is fair
    4. Meets schedule demands

    Cons

    1. Upper management is not connected with hourly staff
    2. Industry is hurting financially, but this bare minimum approach is very stressful

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To make money you must take care of the people that work hard for you. Do not try to also re-event the wheel every time there is a issue. Instead work with your staff to improve process that are already in place. Also provided the tools that are need for the staff to get the job done.

I worked at Crestline Hotels & Resorts full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good co-workers, good experience if this is the industry for you

    Cons

Very low pay in comparison to industry standards. Upper management is unorganized often, rarely available after 5 PM or on weekends. High turnover in all departments which results in lower level management working more often that acceptable at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Raise wages to meet industry standards and likely your high turnover problems will cease. If you invest in your staff they will invest in you. Be more involved, lead by example.
