    I worked at Cricket Communications full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    In the past, Cricket was a fantastic place to work where you felt you made an impact regardless at what level in the organization you were in. You also had many opportunities to promote within and the company practiced it as much as they preached it.

    Other pros:

    Telecommuting was available
    Product was once unique and you felt you were part of something cool

    Cons

    Leadership churn has been ridiculous in the recent years
    Bad business decisions at the ELT
    Poor goal setting, vision and planning
    Employees overworked and no funding/relief in sight
    Products and services have always been behind competitors and now are no longer unique in nature (where's the competitive edge?)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Really focus on the employee experience and morale and not just keep talking about wanting to for the past 5 years.

    Smaller teams making decisions will help
    Refocus on the brand and customer experience and everything else will follow
    Take a look at your HR and Talent acquisition department. Just poor. No help
    Give your front-line managers better tools, training and budget to help develop and retain talent
    Stop changing your company goals/scorecard every other month. Where's the mission statement or vision?
