Negative Outlook
Negative Outlook

Pros

Work flexibility. Remote work culture. Only a few people actually go to a physical office. Generally pleasant coworkers.

Cons

Worker remotely means that you will not learn much from others. If you are looking for a rewarding career, learning from upper management and having a mentor, this is not the place for you. You will usually not be challenged here. Lots of turnover.

Advice to Management

Give back to your employees in the form of workshops, mentorship, education programs.

    Pros

Crimson is a management consulting company that in the past 5 years started to embrace the notion of digital marketing. For traditional management consulting, Crimson is not a bad place to start though if you are looking for strong digital this is not the best place to be. Consider this good training ground for a starter career but plan on an exit strategy within the first year.

    Cons

The organization is heavily male oriented and has a very ivy league, boys club culture Resistance by senior management to embrace evolving digital space Slow to pay

    Pros

I came across some of the earlier comments about Crimson and thought I would balance those with my experience as first a consultant and then a client of theirs. Pulled together a strong team of experienced professionals with the right background. Worked collaboratively with the team to spec and propose the project. Were there to help smooth out some of the bumps that always occur in projects. Were willing to go the extra mile to make sure they provided quality work the client was satisfied with.

    Cons

Could be a bit more proactive in business development.

    Advice to Management

There is a lot more you could be doing to tap into and leverage the community of consultants you work with. Blogs with their insights, community mixers between consultants and your past, current and prospective clients.
