Current Employee - Business Development Manager in London, England (UK)

    Pros

One of the companies where many people want to work, Great knowledge sharing and education - you'll learn a lot about the industry. Has a good reputation overall..

    Cons

    Stay away from smb department!

You'll be sold on all the awesome benefits of working at Criteo like bonus, equity, opportunity to advance, a lot of responsibility bla bla bla. The bonus minuscule to the point of being worthless as the targets will be set so high that you won't be able to achieve 100%..

The company is hiring a lot of middle managers and not promoting from within.

Politics have started to creep in and take a major hold.

Management is very self-centered only caring for their gross margins specifi. Every step taken is very tactical and the human aspect of the job is not even considered. Its all about numbers numbers and again numbers..you are as good as your last week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Life is not all about money and numbers. Make it fun to work for Criteo..everyone is so disgusted that your ego even prevents you from noticing it..

Good technology but Corporate Politics and lack of culture dominate

    Pros

Great technology which performs very well for advertisers & publishers alike. Benefits within the US have become much better within the past few months. Very competitive with other ad-technology firms. Good potential.

    Cons

Corporate politics play such a huge role within Criteo that it is suffocating at times. If you've heard the old adage of perception is reality and you like that time of environment then Criteo is for you. Many people here spend their entire day looking for ways to pander to senior management, both in the US and abroad.

Europeans are brought over to the US market without knowledge of this very complex environment. Criteo has become a revolving door where employees are either fired or they leave as they were brought here under false pretenses. The Europeans do not value the role or knowledge that Americans can bring to the table. Very dissapointing in a growing & profitable international company.

There is no culture here. Culture is something that should be bread from the highest executives down to the rank & file. This is not the case at Criteo. Top executives hope that culture will just organically crop up, which is never the case. Take a look at some of the best companies to work for (Zappos, Google, Salesforce, Yahoo!). Their CEO's take pride in infusing corporate pride, fun & hard work.

Also, terrible commission structure for Business Development, Sales, & Account Management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trust your employees more with less micromanagement. Stop infusing (forcing) Europeans who do not understand the US market into the organziation. They add little to NO value.
