Horrible communication between mid and upper management
Bad hours (not always flexible or adjustable to your daily schedule)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Visit the stores more often and know when you have sinking ships. Go to the commissary on the regular basis because there is no excuse for receiving stale cupcakes and other baked goods in the stores. Find better ways of communicating...no employee should ever have to learn about a major company change through a customer (especially if he/she is an investor). Review the store management team every other month (including DMs). As a customer, I heard a DM call a current employee "ratchet" (the DM did not know I was a former employee). Please, please test new employees on how they handle products, not just knowledge of products. I have seen new employees touch pastries and cupcakes with their bare hands (not gloved) and giving it to the customer.

    Some upper management used scare tactics on employees, it wasn't good for positive morale.

    Pros

    Good Salary when I worked there. Coworkers are awesome, managers were fair..including the district manager

    Cons

    The company can be very disorganized and greedy.-Managers have their favorites. -Scheduling can be a mess.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get it together. Know when to fire your employees please. If someone does not show up to work for 3 days in a row without a phone call. FIRE THEM.
