    Pros

    - very serious about cultural diversity
    - generous in sponsoring H1B visas (2nd highest concentration in the US per capita)
    - great place to raise children
    - Everyone is very friendly and agreable
    - Chance to get involved in a lot of projects

    Cons

    - All locations are be in remote small towns except for Beijing, Wuhan, and Pune offices
    - Senior leadership appears to lack a long term vision, and bows to Wall Street analysts
    - Six Sigma has morphed from being a useful tool set to being a cult. Meanwhile the practitioners are ignorant of basic statistics.
    - HR considers engineers to be a commodity, and does not hire "the best and brightest." As a result, many of the best people have simply left out of frustration, and HR has just shrugged their collective shoulders.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating engineering like a cost center, and start getting serious about quality. Otherwise, one day the Chinese and Indian OEM's will make Cummins into a penny stock.
