I worked at Curtiss-Wright Controls full-time for less than a year

Pros – They promoted the workplace as a "family unit." All of the workers were friendly and the atmosphere promoted solidarity. Everyone worked well together and there seemed to be a general feeling of pleasantness in the workplace.

Cons – The upper management lacked a clear vision and micromanagement was a huge concern. Due to obvious favoritism, there was some animosity between certain departments. This also contributed to certain individuals who were not necessarily qualified for certain jobs being promoted into positions that they couldn't perform.

Advice to Senior Management – Hire the right person for the right job and micromanagement will not become an issue. Try to avoid very obvious favoritism.
