Pros

no positive reason to work here

Cons

IS department has the worst management. In the last year, the team of 15 people had 10 people leaving. Senior and manager like to mess with your career if they don't like you for any mean reason. Seniors wouldn't want to teach/show/guide you anything and just be rude.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

get rid of some seniors and managers

    Pros

high energy company, lots of opportunity for growth, young and fun, lots of responsibility if you are willing to take it on, opportunity to travel to India for 6+ weeks, fun happy hours, very impressionable young hires, so if you come in with experience - you will be given lots of responsibility.

    Cons

no work life balance, 60+ hour weeks are the norm, managers have little to no training as have been quickly promoted from within, so few know how to effectively "manage" as they have never worked anywhere else. No 401K match. Cube farm open office with very little privacy. you are expected to share rooms when traveling. You must always fly on the weekends and get the cheapest flight possible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Send managers to training. Invest in cross sell.

I have been working at Cvent full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of room for growth, even if you are just starting your career.

Work hard, and you will be recognized for it

A culture that is easy to fit into and fun to be a part of

Job security is high because the company is doing so well financially

You get to wear many hats with the job, creating a great learning experience and ensuring you are a viable candidate for any other company in your future.

Great office location, right in the middle of Tysons Corner

Many opportunities to travel, especially to our other offices around the world

Free benefits! Pay nothing for a great healthcare and dental plan

Events outside of the workplace make it fun - a huge holiday party every year, a free company trip to Kings Dominion, on top of multiple happy hours and fundraising events throughout the year

    Cons

Definitely not for the lazy, you will have to work very hard as there is a lot to do

Many federal holidays we are expected to be in the office

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need more decision makers at a director level across all divisions of the company so that everything does not have to be decided on by senior management.
