I worked at CyberTech Systems full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

This company is operated by 5 partners with varying personalities, but the common trait of being serious, hardworking, honest engineering professionals doing work to fine quality. Their clients are exceptionally happy..

Cons

Mostly that I don't work there anymore. They could have used a better HR approach in mentoring. Their greatest limitation was in not having a steady pipeline of guys as talented as them coming up through the ranks. In the end, though, seeing the disasters that occur in hiring the wrong people, I respect their commitment to only growing as fast as the quality people are available.

I have been working at CyberTech Systems full-time for more than a year

    Pros

CEO has good vision for the company's future.
Even though small in number, company has a set of bright people at middle management who are very promising.
Good business exposure because of smaller company size.
Good infrastructure, good location of office.

    Cons

Senior Management is not competent enough to drive the vision of CEO and board.
Company missed most of the industry trends over the last few years, and needs sincere effort to make a comeback.
Do careful salary and profile negotiations before joining. Verbal assurances are mostly ignored.
    High attrition of quality people.
Work-till-you-break kind of culture in certain business units.
Internal politics between teams restricts quality discussions for improvements.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus more in improving the quality of the services and solutions, than on gross margins alone. Spendings on people, skills and infrastructure should be considered as investments for long term rather than as expenses that eat in to quarterly margins.
