I worked at DISH full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Cant imagine any pros to working at this hell hole. Never again.

Cons

The only thing DISH hates more than it's customers are it's employees. Really.

    I have been working at DISH full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    compressed workweeks, discounted television service.

    Cons

    low pay, work/life balance, very little opportunity, technicians are a catch all for managements poor decisions. Management can keep giving you jobs and keep you in the field as late as they see fit an there is nothing that the technician can do about it, other than quit. All of the safety requirements set forth are just guidelines as management will all but force you to break them in order to complete the job so they meet their numbers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    treat your technicians more like people and less like statistics. After all, the technicians work is ultimately what's padding your pockets.

    I have been working at DISH full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    The pay is above minimum and the co-workers are amazing.

    Cons

    The customers are bred by management to expect credit yet you are the one who is required for QA purposes to deny credits until they threaten to cancel, your job is needlessly complicated and management can learn a thing or two if they took calls. The Guidelines set for calls are un-needed and make your job more complicated. You have to always meet certain requirements on calls and if you don't you can get written up for something as small as not offering HBO even if the customer cannot pay their current bill already. I truly could not recommend this job to anybody.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take calls yourself and learn that the metrics set forth to get a decent payout can be near impossible due to your greed and constant loss of channels.
