Pros

My immediate supervisors have been great. The work has been plentiful and challenging.

Cons

lots of lay-offs over the years.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company has had upper management issues over the last few years. Sometimes the best intentions do not create the best environment for growth. Upper management did what they thought was best.

    Pros

The pay and benefits are great, the people are the biggest asset, and the facility is always kept pristine. My manager, Mr. Darrin Lovett, was the best boss I ever worked for. Thanks again for a great 10 years DRS !!

    Cons

The company was downsizing when I left, hopefully they get more contracts.

I worked at DRS Technologies full-time

    Pros

9/80 work schedule, 401k match (after 3 years), full product life cycle development experience, flexible hours, exciting niche products, knowledgable SMEs

    Cons

Programs understaffed and overworked to drive cost down. Continued lay-offs of employees with good annual reviews. Most work is centered around winning contracts and does not have a definite timeframe. Management is more concerned about program success than employee development.
