Pros

Some intelligent people employed there, high paying positions, great office building, generous 401k match. Tech savvy environment, all employees have dual screen setups and everything is paperless and automated.

Cons

Nepotism is a real problem here. The office culture is downright depressing. Job security is a major issue as the company has been losing contracts at a record pace over the past 12 months. Ownership and upper management do not communicate with the staff until it is too late. Many communication issues exist.

Advice to Management

An overhaul of management and ownership should be considered. There is great potential here, but opportunities have slipped by and the company is finding itself in hard times.

    Pros

Good 401k, good salary, good vacation policy. Hard working very knowledgeable workers below the Sr Management Level.

    Cons

No Job Security, loss of contracts, un-ethical conduct at Corp Level, CEO full of lies to employees, CEO is all about taking care of himself, but puts up a facade that he cares about employees etc… CEO micro manages the entire company... Extremely poor example of a leader!! Favoritism within the Corp Headquarters Sr. Management. Nothing is ever properly planned out due to current CEOs in ability to properly guide a company with more than 20 personnel! Company Ownership needs to change hands. Current ownership is taking what use to be a good company and running it into the ground. Current ownership has and continues to upset other Defense Contractors as to where no one wants to do business with DSCI. When you tell other companies who you work for you spend 10 mins defending the company, and explaining why the other company should do business with DSCI. Would not recommend anyone to do business with DSCI or work for DSCI under the current leadership.

    Advice to Management

My advice would be to get the CEO out of there!!!! The sooner or the better… If you can get the CEO to truly step aside, and cut the salary by just 50K on the top five Sr. Executives the company may survive for another year. Stop ripping off employees on so called “Bonus Stocks” that the employees never get to mature since work is so poor throughout the company. However with current leadership, and the amount of companies and government officials that dislike DSCI, I believe the doors will soon close.

    Unethical, incompetent, and illegal

I have been working at DSCI full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some of the people ( mostly NON management) are hard workers and really know what they're doing.

    Cons

This is the most unethical company I've ever worked at! They are horrible in both the prime and subcontractor role. Senior management is incompetent and expects everyone to drop everything for work no matter what time of day or night. They change policies to suit them and show preferential treatment to family and friends that are not qualified for the positions they hold. They tell employees to mischarge against the government and get angry when they refuse.

    Advice to Management

Hire competence instead of blind loyalty.
