Pros

I would have said the best reason to work there is the great people you work with, but all those folks have been laid off now.

Cons

Lack of foresight by leadership; associate morale at an all-time low; insultingly low merit increases. It appears to everyone who used to work there and those that still do, that the company is positioning itself to be more attractive to a prospective buyer. Odds are that it will be sold before long.

Advice to Senior Management

Leadership needs to ask the managers at the departmental level what services they must continue to have from other departments in order for them to be successful, and they should do that prior to laying off an entire department.
