I have been working at DTE Energy
Pros – it's a stable company. Very few layoffs. Recent staff reductions only through attrition. Benefits are pretty good. Pay is comparable to other jobs in the area.
Cons – It's a big, boring company. Lots of attempts to improve business processes without avail. Huge rework of company databases a few years ago left us with a system that's only so-so, at best.
Advice to Senior Management – Think outside the box. I know you're beholden to shareholders, but a little innovation, and a little risk, will look good.
