Current Employee - Pharmaceuticals Sales Representative
Current Employee - Pharmaceuticals Sales Representative

I have been working at Daiichi Sankyo full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Good reputation in the industry and adequate training for the position. Benefits are comparable package to other pharma companies, and include profit and thrift sharing if company hits annual revenue goals.

Cons

Future pipeline is lacking for products in 2013 - a new product is expected to be approved in 2014, but nothing is definite until it launches. Some instability right now due to generic competition and decreasing revenue on a national level.

Great company if you are new to Pharmaceutical Sales. Base and bonuses are lower than the norm.

I worked at Daiichi Sankyo full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Not like big pharma. Flexible schedule. Work Life Balance. Workable territories. Company rewards top performers well. Hard to get fired.

    Cons

Poor bonus structure. Should pay more. Average base salary is on lower end of pharma. Drug pipeline is weak.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better competitive base salaries to keep high performing sales reps.
