I have been working at Daktronics part-time for less than a year

Pros

Daktronics provides a good place for students to gain experience while going to school, it is also a good resume builder.

Cons

the training for new jobs is pretty bad, the pay is terrible compared to other companies, and the entire company is overstaffed.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

some advice i would give is to decrease the amount of staff to increase the pay, and implement a standard training program.

I have been working at Daktronics as an intern for more than a year

    Pros

Students have an incentive to work 20 hours to earn an extra $1 an hour, and get raises twice a year, and get a $.20 raise for every class you have passed with an A or B that is on the company class list.

    Cons

Place a lot of responsibility in their students, can be good at times and can be bad at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a better hiring process, took 2 months from application to get an interview, and another 2 weeks to hear about being accepted as a new employee. I know they lose a lot of good students because they don't have the time to wait on Personell.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

there used to be a waiting list of people trying to get into daktronics, not so long ago.but now they are just a building full of laborers waiting for thier next job to call them with an offer.this is sad, because there is so much potential there that management refuses to agknowledge.I know that the founders did not intend this to be the case.your company has failed its community, and has become the laughing stock of the workforce.workers around your area are talking to each other about it .with the upcoming industrial growth in the area happening,do you really think you'll be able to stay? no matter how much money you throw at this upcoming dilema, you will soon find out that you cant buy loyalty.maybe you should give in to a hostile takeover so your entire management can be replaced with a competent one
