Pros

* Pretty standard benefits
* Opportunities for recent graduates
* Flexible for work/life balance

Cons

* Biggest drawback is the lack of opportunity and growth within certain departments.
* Planning is a revolving door with new graduates coming in, then leaving within 2 years for better opportunities outside the company.
* This departmental turnover is a constant struggle and hurts those that actually stay with the company.

Advice to Management

The most critical recommendation to improve the culture and mentality is to recognize talent, foster continued education, and find opportunities for those talented individuals in other departments.

    Overall, ok place to work if you're ok with staying in the same position for years.

    Pros

    Work life balance is very good. They are understanding if your child is sick or you have to leave unexpectedly.

    Cons

    No promotions are given. Most people work here 10 years and never get a promotion. It's sad that they do not appreciate hard working people. They keep you down and are not positive in helping you advance in your career. They lose a lot of great people because of this.

    Advice to Management

    Help your employees grow instead of keeping them in the same position for years.

    Pros

    * Flexible hours; MGMT was ok with coming in past 8 / leaving before 5 so long as the job was done
    * Insane discount on flooring
    * Possible to transfer departments with no hard feelings

    Cons

    * Somewhat cliquish environment
    * The flexibility in hours is occasionally taken advantage of by some of the staff
    * The corp office is in Pleasant Grove

    Advice to Management

    * Make it known to all employees that Dal-Tile's hiring strategy in certain departments is to explicitly bring in new graduates
    * Institute a mentor program for these hires so they do not stagnate
